Advertising vs what you really get

One morning I decided to see the difference between advertising and the real deal.

I cruised on down to the McDonalds located on Swanston St, Melbourne and instore was a display advertising their Bacon & Egg McMuffin as such. Looks edible. A perfectly toasted muffin, melted cheese blending with an immaculate, well presented egg and fresh bacon draped over the top. Looks delish.

What you really get is a muffin barely toasted, an egg that has obviously been cooked quickly with little fanfare, cold, burnt crispy bacon and cheese that, frankly, that is just along for the ride. Pretty ordinary.
